Nisi Berryman

NIBA Home owner Nisi Berryman, a 20-year resident of Miami Beach, is a self-confessed design junkie, and armed with a degree in painting and art history from LSU, she immediately moved to New York where her passion became design and decorative arts . She worked for renowned furniture designer Dakota Jackson, launching his first New York showroom, and after moving to Florida she worked for Tui Pranich prior to opening the Holly Hunt Miami showroom.

In addition, she was the Miami City Editor for Metropolitan Home Magazine for the past 15 years, and was marketing director for Dacra Development in the Miami Design District prior to opening NIBA Home in December 2004.

Proud mother of an art student, she serves on the board of DASH (Design and Architecture Senior High), Miami’s outstanding magnet school and the only high school in the US devoted to design.

John Patrick Pratt

John Patrick Pratt, raised in Miami, Florida, is an esteemed attorney in our South Florida market. He received his Bachelors of Arts from Florida State University with honors in 1994. He graduated from Tulane University School of Law, receiving his juris doctor degree in 1997. Mr. Pratt also studied abroad at the University of Paris, and is fluent in Spanish. Mr. Pratt is admitted to the bar of the State of Florida, District of Columbia, United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.

Darin Held

Darin believes design is more than a discipline; it’s an opportunity to inspire individuals to experience life with heightened sensitivity and purpose. Darin is originally from Columbus, Ohio where he studied Communications at the Ohio State University. He became a principal at Industry Productions Inc., an event production group and later founded Fresh Ideas, a specialty advertising company. As corporate accounts manager with Retail Design Group in Miami, he expanded the company’s client base positioning them as a major global player in the industry. He is actively involved in the contemporary art scene and has curated exhibitions which have gained international recognition . Darin’s work consistently reveals his expertise in the drama of design; theatrical lighting, prop styling, product positioning and the consumer experience.

Giancarlo Pietri

Giancarlo is an interior architect, designer and blogger. He earned a Master’s degree in Interior Design at Istituto Superiore di Architettura D’Interni / Interior Design Institute of Milan, Italy, where he lived for three years. Prior to moving to Italy, Mr. Pietri was a Designer at Cabinet D’Architecture Vincent Bastie in Paris, where he also completed the Cours de Civilisation Française at University of Paris IV, La Sorbonne. Upon completing his studies, Giancarlo relocated to Miami, Florida where he now resides. He is a partner and principal of Urban Robot Associates, a local Miami Beach multi-disciplinary design firm that focuses on cutting-edge design solutions for architecture, interiors and landscape design projects across the Hospitality, Luxury Residential, Retail and Restaurant Sectors.

Jaime Odabachian

Jaime is the fourth generation co-owner and current president of Odabashian, one of the oldest luxury rug retailers in the Americas, founded in 1921 in Mexico City by his grandfather, Khoren Odabachian. As an advocate for the arts, Jaime is the Chair of The Wolfsonian-FIU Museum Visionaries in Miami, a group of young professionals dedicated to sharing their enthusiasm for design. He has also been a strong supporter of Mexico’s burgeoning design industry and teaches a yearly workshop on rug design at Centro, one of Mexico’s leading design schools.

James Anderson

James Anderson has been Director of Sales and Marketing of Dream South Beach hotel since its inception and has 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Previously, he was Director of Sales and Marketing at the National Hotel and started his career with InterContinental Hotels Group.

In addition to serving on the SoBe Local Board and the Miami Beach Chamber Emerging Leadership Council, James also sits on the Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association Enrichment Council and is an active HSMAI member. In 2012 he was awarded Outstanding Sales and Marketing Manager of the Year from the Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association and also received the Pillar Rising Star Award from the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. In 2013 he was awarded the HSMAI South Florida Chapter Sales & Marketing Professional of the Year.

A resident of South Florida since 2000, James is originally from South Philadelphia.
